Description
A single malt distillery on the isle of Islay, currently part of the whisky holdings of French company, Rémy Cointreau. The distillery's flagship brand of single malt is a non-peated style, however it also produces peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, as well as The Botanist gin. This 18-year-old expression, part of the 'Re/Define' series, is a coming-of-age bottling from Bruichladdich, made from stocks produced after the distillery reopened in 2001. It is matured exclusively on Islay, primarily in bourbon casks with a smaller proportion of Sauternes and Port casks, and bottled at 50% ABV without chill filtration. It showcases Bruichladdich's signature unpeated, floral, and fruity character, with a focus on traceability of barley varietals.
