- Nose
- A waft of tinned pineapple juice followed by a medley of other tropical fruits. Old style esters, pears and fragrant boiled sweets, with notes of vanilla essence, toasted crumpets, wood chips, lemon and lime juice, candied necklaces, candy floss, crackers, brioche buns, pistachios, warehouse funk, and apple strudel with a hint of cinnamon spice.
- Palate
- Old oak accompanies a rich buttery mouthfeel, a touch of chocolate dipped coffee beans, Victoria sponge spread with lemon curd, and a salty edge with delicate candied almond. Spicier than expected with a lovely sweetness, coastal character, grapefruit, orange juice, burnt sugar, caramel, and sea spray.
- Finish
- Long and full-bodied with tropical fruits returning before sinking back into generous oak and seaside salt. Pepper spice lingers alongside sweeter notes.
