A single malt distillery on the isle of Islay, currently part of the whisky holdings of French company, Rémy Cointreau. The distillery's flagship brand of single malt is a non-peated style, however it also produces peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, as well as The Botanist gin. This Bruichladdich 1990 Valinch 22 Year Old 'The French Connection' was initially matured in a bourbon barrel and then finished in a Haut Brion cask. The Valinch bottlings are single cask releases, often hand-filled at the distillery.
