Nose
Lots of peat smoke. Ethanol. A bit of sweetness but it mostly gets run over by the peat smoke.
Palate
Big and rich mouthfeel. Very heavily peated. Probably the most heavily peated Bunnahabhain I've ever tried. Meaty and a punch in the mouth. A bit of water helps bring out more fruitiness. Some oranges and lemons. And a floral characteristic as well.
Finish
Medium long finish. Pepper and anise. The peat actually fades somewhat and lingers in the background. I get lots of herbs. Saltiness as well. Eucalyptus. Seaweed. Grilled fish. Thyme.
