Description
From its clear and churning sands to its rich and peaty soil, Islay is a land unique in character. The fertile landscape has shaped every drop of our island's distinctive single malt, with pocket-hues of pepper and smoke entwined with a fascinating sweetness. The three following expressions are 1997 vintage, 22 years old, and have been matured in traditional oak casks prior to a generous finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Limited to 1881 bottles, this is a rare opportunity to experience the unique character of Bunnahabhain, a whisky that has held the 'Gold Medal' for the best Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky at the 2020 International Wine & Spirit Competition. The result is a rich, deeply hued liquid with a complex aroma and a palate of deep and peat, this rich dark gold with deep is a delightful dram of the one.
