Nose
Dark sweet notes of candy sugar and roasted nuts, plum jam and origin chocolate, complemented by a rough edge of the yeast and wood. And a delicious smokiness of the peat, of course. In the distance a salty note like dried kelp and wet rocks in the surf appears.
Palate
It arrives oily and powerfully seasoned with again dark sweet fruit, but now also something bright like honey. The smokiness grows steadily and makes the mouth completely warm. Walnuts and roasted chestnuts give it a bitter edge. This is very wide in terms of taste. There's a lot going on here.
Finish
The finish is smoky and sweet with some cloves and black pepper on the deathbed.
