Nose
Pure Bunnahabhain with wonderfully preserved freshness, breezy coastal qualities of ozone and sea air alongside sandalwood, mineral oils, and citronella wax. Slightly salty and nutty qualities add to the sense of body and savoury richness, evolving into waxy, herbal, and teaish notes. Hints of peach, peach stone, and seaweed are also present.
Palate
Outstanding with a perfect balance of dried seaweed, umami paste, peppery waxes, tea tree oils, exotic fruit teas, crystallised citrus rinds, and subtle notes of mentholated tobaccos, cough medicines, dried herbs, and liquid seasonings. Consistent with the nose, featuring hay, seaweed, resin, salinity, lichen, moss, and basalt.
Finish
Long, drying, with a twitchy salinity, peppery heat, bitter lemon notes, and more soft herbal teas. A hint of vanilla is added to the flavors.
