Nose
Candy shop sweetness, greenhouse fruitiness and a touch of woodwork. Honey laden cinder toffee and milk chocolate mingle with pear drops and foam bananas. Fresh and tinned apricots, mangos and poached pears. Slightly charred note, delicate pastries, milky latte, rich tea biscuits and suede leather. Aged wood, polished mahogany, marquetry and teak oils. With water, heightened sweetness, more estery fruitiness, slightly mineral, salty side, hewn granite, rock pools and coastal air.
Palate
Waxy and oily with great weight and texture. Tart apples, fresh pears and mango puree. Prickly chilli pepper spice. Incredible complexity with leather bound books, antique furniture, walnuts, salted peanuts, almond brittle, bitter ginger and a touch of distant charred smoke. Reduced, becomes even more sensational with mouth-watering juicy fruitiness, sponge cake, cookie dough and chalky lime.
Finish
Long and continuing with soft, but perceptible wood tannins, bakery flavours and drying ginger spice. Mocha appears with soft spices, cereal, salt, honey and actual oak.
