Originally based in Aberdeen before being bought by the Campbeltown based Mitchell family in 1969, Wm Cadenhead's is the oldest independent bottler in Scotland. Now their flagship Campbeltown premises - located next to the Springbank distillery - also features their own shop offering a variety of bottled spirits from different distilleries. With their own warehouse stocked full of exciting whiskies, this Burnside 28 Year Old is a blended malt, often referred to as a 'teaspooned' malt, typically comprising Balvenie with a small amount of Glenfiddich to prevent it from being classified as a single malt. It has been matured exclusively in bourbon casks and is non-chill filtered.
