Bushmills 10 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey is triple distilled from 100% malted barley and matured for a minimum of 10 years in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks. It is known for its smooth and approachable character, offering notes of honey, vanilla, milk chocolate, and fruit. The Old Bushmills Distillery, located in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, is the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery, with a license granted in 1608. Nose
Bright and fresh, with notes of honey, vanilla, milk chocolate, and light citrus. Also tart apple, banana, fudgy undertones, pepper, and cinnamon. Sweet cereal, mango, mashed banana, pears, lemon candy, buttery shortbread, vanilla custard, dusty cereals, and floral notes.
Palate
Vanilla bean, mocha, dried apricot, ripe orchard fruits, toasted oak, sweet malt, and soft spice. Smooth, clean malt arrival, fruity apple, juicier mango and apricot, with a little touch of sherry. Guava, cantaloupe melon, over-ripe white peach, vanilla, peels, honeysuckle, shortbread, green apples, melted chocolate, honey, hazelnuts, and lemon zest.
Finish
Crisp and extremely long, with subtle notes of oak and fruit. Quick, with a little neutral wood and some pepper. Short, dry, spicy, with tannins from bourbon barrels. Smooth and medium length with lingering sweetness and gentle oak. Floral, spicy, smooth, and clean.
