Nose
Leathery old oak and fragrant tobacco join dried stone fruits and soft woody spice, with aromatic complexity and sumptuous autumnal fruits – figs, sultanas, prunes, damsons, bound together with exquisite caramelized balsamic tones. Honey, vanilla fudge, and cherry with cinnamon, clove and nutmeg spiced oak and sandalwood.
Palate
Layers of stewed fruit, prunes, and sultanas, with chocolatey malt and a touch of cedar beneath. Intense, woody, sweet, nutty, astringent, with a chocolate mouthfeel. Chewy oak and assertive cinnamon, clove and nutmeg spice are mellowed by an oily mouthfeel and fruity sweetness with caramelised apple, figs, sultanas and prunes, and subtle dark chocolate.
Finish
Balsamic poached fruit, caramelised nuts, resinous oaken spice, and soft, crumbly fudge. Resinous notes of distinguished oak and fragrant sandalwood create an elegant, smooth finish, with dry, spicy oak, vanilla fudge, lingering oak resins and dark chocolate.
