Nose
Gentle yet intriguing aromas of walnuts, caramelised sugar, dried orchard fruits, church-pew leather, toffee, fudge-like richness, and a faint trace of old wood. Hints of vanilla, dried fruits, pencil shavings, earthy vanilla, leather, perfume, and cigar box.
Palate
Smooth and layered with chocolate-covered raisins, Madeira-cake sweetness, prune, strawberry-sauce hints, light oak tannin, and a touch of sherbet-like tartness. Flavours of stewed fruits, subtle spices, nuttiness, dark caramel, and cinnamon.
Finish
Long and composed with notes of mild cinnamon, chestnut, caramelised nut skin, and a whisper of oak dryness, tempered by matured sherry influence. A delightful blend of fruit and spice, with lingering notes of dark chocolate and warming winter spices.
