Description
A twelve-bottle series released in 1988 by Italian independent bottler Moon Import for their collection 'The Costumes'. It contains eleven single malt and one single grain Scotch whisky, each labelled with artwork selected by Pepi Mongiardino from the 18th century German encyclopaedia, Brockhaus Enzyklopädie. This vintage grain whisky was distilled in 1963 by the now closed Caledonian distillery and matured for 25 years in a sherry cask. Caledonian was a former Scottish grain distillery located near the Haymarket area of Edinburgh, opened in 1855, and became the seventh member of the Distillers Company in 1884.
