A closed Scottish grain distillery that operated between 1806 and 1993 when it was closed down by Diageo. The company still owns the site, transforming it into a cooperage in 2011. Although mostly used to provide fillings for blends, a Cambus single grain brand was marketed at times. *

Nose
Sweet vanilla. Butterscotch. Sweet cereal grain. Apples. Sheet cake. A bit of a sweaty funk as well.
Palate
Medium oily mouthfeel. Sweet and rounded. Earthy. Vanilla with hints of chocolate. Sea salted caramel. Cereal. Cheese cake including the graham cracker crust. Really cheesy actually, but in a good way.
Finish
Medium finish. Earthy and grainy now. A bit of spice, cinnamon and black pepper. Oaky. Some bitterness.
