Like sticking your hooter into a very old sherry butt! Think raisin, date, leather, acetate, pear drops, red delicious, apricot, pipe tobacco, vanilla, dark chocolate, dark honey and an oomph of liquorice.
Palate
Peach, pear, fig, more date, golden syrup, Demerara sugar, maraschino cherry, molasses, cola bottles, dried apricot, intense oak and yet more liquorice.
Finish
Very tannic, with baked apple, more molasses, cherry, plum, grape skin and…. oh, more liquorice.
