Description

Mackillop's Choice independent whisky bottler was founded in 1996 by Angus Dundee Distillers. It is named after Lorne Mackillop. This bottling is part of the Rare Master's Collection. This is an exceptionally well-aged single grain whisky from the sadly closed Cambus distillery, which was closed in 1993. This Lowlander was distilled in 1966 and left in a bourbon barrel for 51 years.

Very concentrated and mature. Exudes a lush sweetness of candied orange, prunes, plums, damsons and dark fruits with molasses.
Palate
Rich, sweet, treacly grain with some oaky tannins. Dazzlingly complex.
Finish
Long, warming, with a hint of oak and spice.
