Description

Matured and bottled by Claxton's for their Warehouse No. 1 series, this blended malt whisky was distilled in 2016 and aged for 8 years in a first fill ex-PX Sherry Hogshead cask. It was bottled in 2024 without chill filtration or color added at a cask strength of 51.8% ABV. Only 339 bottles were produced for this release.

Nose
Oily and smoky with dunnage notes, earthy, spicy, and sweet. Rich and sweet aroma of dried figs and dates, caramel, milk chocolate, leather, tobacco, cinnamon, and orange peel.
Palate
Sweet and sherried at first with subdued but earthy peat. Sumptuous flavor of sweet sultanas, ripe plums, dark cherries, toasted nuts, soft oak, cloves, and star anise.
Finish
Oily finish with sweet fruits and heather. Long and satisfying with lingering sweet sherry notes, a warm, spicy aftertaste, a light salty undertone, and subtle smokiness.
