Nose
The whisky presents Islay-typical peat smoke on the nose. It also smells of mineral notes and lemon. Oysters are present. Behind that are white chocolate and honey.
Palate
The 15-year-old Caol Ila is oily and creamy on the tongue. It tastes of cigar tobacco and peat. Behind that are campfire smoke and herbs. Lemons break through and meet barley sugar. Pepper introduces the finish.
Finish
The finish is long-lasting and characterized by smoke. The whisky also leaves behind mineral notes and spicy oak.
