- Nose
- Initially tarry with kerosene, dried earth, limoncello, verbena, and peanut satay. Opens to cigar smoke, orange peel, sea spray, flat lemonade, and proving dough. Also notes of suede shoe, hazelnut, bresaola, dry peat, sweet notes, and cured meats.
- Palate
- Upfront peat with ash, dried earth, and streaky bacon, balanced by butterscotch, fudge, cashew nuts, and honey. Coastal, oily, tar, dried herbs, overripe cantaloupe, dates, grated dark chocolate, soot, toffee chews, rolos, cranberries, soya sauce, and slight smokiness.
- Finish
- Good length with a peppery spice. Sweetness and peat taper off before the spice. Custard cream notes followed by expected smokey nature.
