A Speyside distillery originally built as an expansion for Glen Grant and known for many years simply as Glen Grant No.2. Despite obtaining its own identity in 1965, it was mostly operated for the provision of malt to blended Scotch brands and was eventually closed by Pernod Ricard in 2002. The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is a private members club established by Pip Hills in 1983, known for its unique coded method of non-disclosure of distillery origins for its single cask bottlings.
