Description

A Speyside single malt distillery that was one of the first in Scotland to obtain a legal license in 1824. It is today part of the Diageo portfolio and in addition to marketing its single malt brand, the distillery is the Speyside regional brand home of its Johnnie Walker blends. The light character of the 12 Year Old Cardhu is an excellent starting point for anyone starting on their whisky journey. Enticing and silky smooth, this is the quintessential Cardhu, glowing with notes of golden honey and delicate, fruity character.

Sweet and fruity, with aromas of grilled pineapple, honey-soaked pears, fresh melon, heather, resin, and sweet honey-nut notes. Malt cereal, soft, spicy wood, and faint traces of wood-smoke can appear with water.
Palate
Smooth, rounded, and silky mouthfeel. Sweet and fresh, with pineapple, mango, honey, banana, toffee, dried fruit, vanilla, toasted cereals, yellow fruit, and a hint of spice. A pronounced drying effect.
Finish
Lingering sweet smoke, malty touch of peat, honeyed sweetness, subtle oak, and a pleasant persistence.
