Description

Believed to be Cheshire's first Single Malt Whisky, this is their first whisky release after being a successful beer brewery since 1992. Produced at Weetwood Distillery using premium English malted barley and soft Cheshire water. It has been matured in American oak quarter casks which have been shaved, toasted and re-charred before being finished in European oak barrels. Naturally aged by the Cheshire seasons, Weetwood aim to aim several releases in the coming years to showcase what they have learned. Bottled free from chill filtration and at natural colour at 46% abv.

Nose
Creamy vanilla, baked apple and ripe tropical fruit. A floral background of jasmine, lavender and orange blossom.
Palate
Sweet, creamy malt, orchard fruits and toasted hazelnuts, some green tobacco bitterness and peppercorn spice.
Finish
Smooth and mellow with lots of orchard fruits and sweetness and just a little spice. Smouldering embers alongside caramelised pineapple.
