Description

A single malt whisky distillery in Japan, located within the city of the same name in the Saitama Prefecture. It was established in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto and significantly expanded in 2019 with the opening of a second distillery called Chichibu 2.

Nose
Amazing for being just 4 years old and 63 % ABV. Well balanced. Toasted oak, hints of cinnamon, light notes of tropical fruit. A bit shy at first, but opens up and caresses the nose more by the minute.
Palate
Rich and full bodied. Quite spicy. Peppery harmonies. Almonds, vanilla and marzipan.
Finish
Medium long finish. Maple syrup and pancakes. White pepper. Vanilla. Light tropical fruit. Creamy and rich all the way.
