Description

A single malt whisky distillery in Japan, located within the city of the same name in the Saitama Prefecture. It was established in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto and significantly expanded in 2019 with the opening of a second distillery called Chichibu 2. This particular bottling is an independent release by Japanese liquor import/exporters ePower for their 10th anniversary.

Nose
Fascinating, aged lemon peels churned with gooey vanilla paste, orange sherbet and cotton candy on a flirty floral setting.
Palate
Orange and grapefruit sherbet on the palate dressed with some Chinese style dried tangerine peels to give that exotic and intriguing bitterness. Some banana jam as well to mellow things out.
Finish
Retains the citrus and the oak spices in the finish.
