Description

This is a unique 'East meets West' American Whiskey, distilled in Kentucky in 2006 and initially aged there until 2012. It was then shipped to Japan for a second maturation at Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu distillery from 2012 to February 2020, resulting in a 14-year-old double-oaked single barrel release. It was bottled for Ken's Diamond Anniversary.

Nose
The initial aroma is a captivating interplay of peat and sweet notes. A rich, nutty character emerges, reminiscent of toasted almonds and buttery shortbread. A subtle floral perfume adds a delicate complexity, elevating the olfactory experience.
Palate
The palate is a revelation of smooth, velvety textures. A wave of sweetness washes over the tongue, balanced by warming winter spices. The alcohol is remarkably well-integrated, delivering a silky, oily mouthfeel. The fruit profile is prominent, with notes of ripe nectarine and juicy plum dancing across the taste buds.
