Alcohol present but not harsh. Subtle sulfur, dark chocolate, mocha, leather, coffee candy, dried fruits (raisins, figs). Dry oak, burnt barley (not peat), caramelized onion, earthy notes, dry herbs, tobacco, walnuts, almonds, black pepper, charred cinnamon. Savory scorched rice candy.
Palate
Smooth, medium body. Dark chocolate, coffee candy, dried fruits, licorice, cinnamon, cacao nibs. Subtle acidity and bitterness from fruit skins. Light tannins from oak, slight powdery cocoa.
Finish
Coffee butterscotch, scorched rice candy, cinnamon, clove, ginger. Brown sugar sweetness, tobacco leaf. Oak tannins, dark chocolate, dry spice notes. Not a long finish.
