Description
Founded in 1882 by Charles Mackay and James Whyte, the company's first blended whisky was Whyte & Mackay Special. The Claymore Blended Scotch Whisky is a classic blend from A. Ferguson & Co, expertly refined by Whyte & Mackay. The name "Claymore" derives from the Gaelic "claidheamhmor" meaning "great sword," an ancient Scottish two-handed sword used by the Highlanders. This distinguished spirit embodies the rich heritage and craftsmanship of Scottish whisky-making, crafted from a selection of malt and grain whiskies aged in oak casks to achieve a harmonious balance of flavors. It is designed to be versatile, suitable for casual sipping or mixing.
