Nose
Much waxier than many more later vintages, with notes of beeswax, pencil eraser, drawing gum, fresh walnut skins, almond paste, and touches of tangerines. It is also expressive, fruity, and peaty, with hints of honey, pollen, earl grey tea, pine resin, and cough syrup.
Palate
Orange and tangerine juices blended with liquid beeswax and honey. Rich and balanced, with peat, waxy and honeyed fruitiness, citrons, lemons, quinces, smokiness, paraffin, mastic sweets, bitter oranges, gentian spirit, quince jelly, nutmeg, and black pepper, showing an obvious 'Broraness'.
Finish
Medium and well balanced, between sweet and oak, with a feeling of green tea flavoured with fruit. Rich and lovely smooth texture.
