Description

This Clynelish 1993 26 Year Old is a limited edition single malt whisky, part of Diageo's prestigious inaugural Prima & Ultima series. Hand-picked by Dr. Jim Beveridge OBE, this expression was distilled in 1993 and matured for 26 years in refill American oak hogsheads before being bottled in December 2019 at a natural cask strength of 49.8% ABV. Only 941 bottles were released.

Waxy, chalky, and mineral, with notes of melon, honey, red apples, buttercups, butterscotch, sweet fruity green apple peel, faint tropical notes, baked green apple with vanilla sugar, and citrus.
Palate
Creamy-smooth texture with classic Clynelish wax, sweetly fruity taste developing into spicy intensity, herbal notes, lemon juice with a hint of sea salt, briny, chalky, with some wood, cocoa bitterness, turmeric, pepper, and chili heat.
Finish
Sweet and spicy with a charming hint of honeycomb, licorice, white pepper, linseed oil, and bitter wood in a slightly oily finish.
