A Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, with a little peated whisky in the recipe. This Bespoke Release for K&L Wines, San Francisco, is a marriage of malts from the Highland and Islay regions of Scotland, matured in first-fill American oak barrels and recharred American oak hogsheads. Expect aromas and flavours of pineapple, honey and florals. Bottled just 996 bottles. Non-chill filtered. Natural colour.

Nose
A symphony of honey, brandied fruit, and the sea. Thick, rich, sticky caramel, with hints of citrusy pineapple and old newspapers.
Palate
Thick mouthfeel with rich flavors of caramel, cocoa, and toffee. Peat is present, more earthy than ashy or iodine-y, with good minerality. Hibiscus and plumeria tisanes, wispy smoke, sweet grassy-floral heather, pineapple cakes, and guava jam.
Finish
Long and complex, with sherry and peat notes leaning towards nutty and caramel. Pleasant achiote, pepper, salt, and sweet tropical tea, with oily, phenolic notes of smoke and ash.
