Description

Compass Box Confidence Artist #11 is a limited-edition blended Scotch whisky, released as part of the Artist #11 Pentalogy range. It was created by Compass Box for La Maison du Whisky's 65th anniversary. The blend consists of a Lowland single grain, a Northern Highland single malt, two Speyside single malts, and Compass Box's 'The Circle' blended malt. The result is a fruity whisky with floral and herbal notes, and only 966 bottles were released.

Fresh and rich, with malty notes, candied fruit (lemon, pear, pineapple), honeysuckle, carnation, sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), beeswax, toffee, and lavender honey. Also, sweet red fruit (cherries, strawberries), caramel, vanilla, light spice, and honey.
Palate
Clean and lively, profoundly malty, herbaceous (cut hay), vanilla, fruity (roasted apple), spice bread, Kouign-amann Breton pastry, rustic (ploughed land, compost), vegetal (tobacco, tea), and sweet (aniseed bonbons, Calisson d'Aix). Also, red fruit (cherries in sweet syrup), alcohol, spices (cinnamon, white pepper), caramel, and light oily.
Finish
Long and smooth, with fresh red fruits (strawberry, redcurrant, raspberry), black fruits (blackcurrant, bramble), nuts (chestnut, hazelnut), vanilla, spice bread, malted barley grains, leather, liquorice, and camphor. Also, a slight warm-up, cherries in syrup with alcohol, and dark chocolate.
