Description
Asyla was a rich and full-flavoured blended Scotch whisky from independent bottler Compass Box, containing nothing but whisky matured in first-fill American oak casks. It was a key part of their core range until it was discontinued in 2018 due to difficulties in sourcing the requisite whiskies. The blend typically consisted of a 50:50 malt to grain ratio, with malts from Glen Elgin, Teaninich, and Linkwood, and grain whisky from Cameronbridge. It is described as delicate, fruity, and balanced, with notes of vanilla, apple, and pear.
