Description

This is the seventh limited edition of Compass Box Flaming Heart, first bottled in 2006. This 2022 release is a blended malt Scotch whisky that combines peaty smokiness with the richness of French oak aging. It is a limited edition of 9,606 bottles, bottled at 48.9% ABV, natural color, and not chill filtered.

Rich, smouldering embers, with toasted oak, gingerbread, twists of waxy lemon, smoke and peat with wisps of salty sea air, tar, smoked pork, grilled peaches, pears, raisins, mineral notes and leather.
Palate
Thick and creamy mouthfeel, sweet with smoky caramel, peat, berries, apples, raisins, cherries, nutmeg, oily, rich and savoury, meaty smoke, sizzling bacon, caramelised maple, with rich baking spices.
Finish
Long and syrupy with apricot jam and peat smoke, savoury smoke lingers, with peppery spice building, long with smoke, fruit, char and wax.
