Description

Compass Box Great King Street Artist's Blend is Compass Box's answer to the 'standard' blend, bringing artisan flair. Founded in 2000 by John Glaser, a former marketing director for Johnnie Walker, Compass Box aims to create highly approachable whiskies for connoisseurs, non-whisky drinkers, and cocktail enthusiasts alike. This rich, full-bodied whisky is a blend of flavourful single malt whiskies and delicate single grain whiskies, inspired by 19th-century blending techniques and matured in a combination of first-fill American oak barrels, new French oak, and sherry butts.

Sweet and creamy, with lots of cereal notes, vanilla, dried fruits, citrus, apple crumble, honey, malt, apricot, golden raisins, grainy caramel, Cheerios, spice, bubblegum, mint, eucalyptus, and sometimes a youthful prickle.
Palate
Gentle, creamy, rich, with notes of Christmas spices, lemon, buttery apple crumble, Bakewell tart, rose petals, raisins, baked apple, vanilla, toasted oak, green apples, caramel, honey, malt, apricot, golden raisins, and sometimes a bit sour then sweet.
Finish
Rich and sweet, with a long finish that tails off with notes of quince jelly, shortbread, spices, fruit, wax, malt, honey, ginger, nutmeg, white pepper, and sometimes a spicy and salty character.
