Description

Compass Box is a London-based independent bottler and blender of Scotch whisky, founded in 2000 by John Glaser. Glaser, a former marketing director at Johnnie Walker and Diageo, established the company with the goal of creating innovative and high-quality blended whiskies. They focus on non-chill filtered whiskies, without added coloring, and often utilize American oak for maturation. Hedonism was their first release, a blended grain whisky made from whiskies from various Scottish grain distilleries such as Cambus and Caledonian.

Creamy and warm with flavors of honey, vanilla, toffee, baking spices, gristy cereal grains, nuts (almonds, coconuts), cocoa, bourbon creaminess, pistachio, stracciatella gelati, with a slightly peppery or smoky undertone, and notes of buttercream, milk chocolate, walnut banana bread, custard, mascarpone, chocolate mousse, nutmeg, and cinnamon-spiced sponge.
Finish
Sweetness transitions to a drier, slightly bitter quality with notes of oak, grain husks, nutmeg, caramel, vanilla, coconut, a short to medium length, lingering spice, white grape, Fuji apple, delicate citrus, and milk chocolate.
