Description

Compass Box The Circle Release No.2 is a limited edition blended Scotch whisky created in collaboration with Mannie Monaghan, winner of The Circle international bartender competition. Inspired by Monaghan's synaesthesia, which associates flavors with colors, this whisky aims to evoke the color coral. It is a blend of malt and grain whiskies from various distilleries, including Glen Elgin, Speyburn, Teaninich, Linkwood, and Ardmore, matured in a variety of casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and of natural color, with only 3,113 bottles released worldwide in 2022.

Bright pineapple and stewed peach aromas, vanilla, honey, and sultanas soaked in Cognac. Hints of cinnamon, clove, and heather smoke.
Palate
Consistent with the nose, with lots of pineapple notes, cooked yellow apples and pears, creamy vanilla, and golden raisins. Some plain malt, toasted wood, and sweet peppery notes.
Finish
Medium long, honeyed and malty, with hints of milk chocolate.
