The Spice Tree is a rich, bold, and intense Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from Compass Box. It was originally controversial due to its innovative oak-aging methods, which led to its temporary discontinuation. It is now matured using a custom-made hybrid cask with French oak for the heads and American oak for the bodies, imparting deep spice-like flavors. This non-chill filtered whisky is redolent of baking spices and layered with toasty oak accents, complementing its underlying distillery character.

Fragrant and aromatic with notes of dried herbs, spices, oak, vanilla, orange apricot, honey, malt, caramel, overripe apples and peaches, jasmine, and baking spices like cinnamon and clove.
Palate
Full, round, and sweet. Intense flavors of clove, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and rich peppery notes. Also notes of malt, brown sugar, dried fruits, and sometimes a hint of citrus or even bubblegum.
Finish
Medium to long, very spicy, big, and rich. Lingering notes of ginger, clove, oakiness, raisins, cinnamon, allspice, and sometimes a buttery or dry quality.
