Description

Compass Box Tobias & The Angel is a limited edition blended malt whisky, described as a culmination of two decades of whiskymaking. It is composed of 50.9% 24-year-old malt whisky from Clynelish Distillery (Highlands) and 49.1% 35-year-old malt whisky from Caol Ila Distillery (Islay). The whiskies were matured in refill bourbon hogsheads and bottled at 47.6% ABV, non-chill filtered, and with natural color. The label artwork is inspired by a 15th-century painting by Andrea del Verrocchio's studio.

Creamy mouthfeel, fruit salad with peaches, stewed pears, cherries, apricots, mango, caramel, earthy notes, pepper spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, vegetal notes, peat smoke, toffee, wax, citrus oils, tropical flowers, bitter honey, green tea, dried flowers, musty oak, old pencils, walnut wood, citronella, fruit skins, green plant parts, cola candies, blackberries, tree sap, and mustiness.

Long with peat smoke and toasted marshmallow, delicate smoke, buttered seafood, waxed fruit, lime zest, peaches, pears, bananas, soft tea, aromatic herbs and wood, and chunky malted barley and caramel.
