Description

Connacht distillery, in Ballina, opened its doors in 2016, and in 2021 it released the first whiskey distilled in County Mayo in over 150 years. This small batch, double distilled single malt is made from 100% malted Irish barley and patiently matured for four years in ex-bourbon casks before a final finishing in Oloroso sherry casks. Their unusually shaped stills, coupled with their location on the windswept Atlantic coast of Ireland, ensure a uniquely flavourful spirit.
