Description

Connemara Cask Strength is a non-chill filtered, peated single malt Irish whiskey, bottled at natural cask strength without added coloring. It is produced at Cooley Distillery in County Louth, Ireland, and is notable as Ireland's only widely available peated single malt. This expression aims to capture the wild and rugged nature of the Connemara region, reviving the 18th-century tradition of drying malting barley over peat fires. It has received multiple awards, including Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Gold Best in Class at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.
