Description

A malt distillery in Speyside that was the fourth of the famed "Seven Stills" of Dufftown. Primarily tasked with providing fillings for blended Scotch brands, it has rarely been seen in single malt form after being closed down by the Distillers Company in 1985. Nose
Vanilla, tobacco leaves, stewed fruits, honey, coconut, hazelnuts, mandarins, and a waxy, citrusy character with hints of diesel oil and menthol.
Palate
A thick, oily mouthfeel with vanilla, coconut, ginger, hazelnuts, and tobacco leaves. Notes of peppery oranges, tropical fruits, beeswax, and a touch of woodsmoke.
Finish
Long and peppery, with lingering notes of pink grapefruit, mandarins, mint, coconut, caramel, and fine wood tannins.
