Description

Copper Dog is a Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from the Speyside region of Scotland, created by Master Blender Stuart Morrison. It is a unique blend of no fewer than eight single malt whiskies, slowly married together in old oak casks, including ex-American, European, and first-fill Bourbon casks. It is known for its easy-drinking character, bursting with fruity flavors, a hint of honey, and spice. The whisky is bottled at 40% ABV and carries no age statement. Copper Dog is an Official Bottling, produced in partnership with Diageo. It has received several accolades, including Double Gold at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Nose
Fresh fruit and toffee apple; an integration of ripe orchard fruits (apples and pears), berries, and a hint of citrus, layered above a background of sweet wood and creamy vanilla fudge. Very malty upfront with cereal notes.
Palate
Rich creamy mouthfeel, toffee apple, caramelised sugars, soft fruits, and a gentle wood presence. Orchard fruits, spice, and vanilla. Hints of dried fruit, indicating some sherry casks. Malty body, followed by a gradual build of spice.
Finish
Fairly swift finish with oaky baking spices fizzling out, leaving a honey sweetness. Subtle, distant spices help carry the fruit and vanilla characters, giving a long and creamy finish. Hints of dried fruit, spice, and just a touch of oak.
