Cragganmore 12 Years Old is a classic Speyside single malt whisky, part of Diageo's Classic Malts range. It is known for its complex and elegant character, with layers of flavor and a subtle hint of smoke in the finish. The distillery, founded in 1869 by John Smith, is located in the Speyside region and uses small, shallow pot stills to create its distinctive multi-layered aroma. The whisky is matured for 12 years, predominantly in ex-bourbon barrels with a smaller percentage of ex-sherry barrels, ensuring a balance of malty, fruity, and slightly smoky notes.

Palate
Soft start with dark fruits, light honey, and cooked peach. Rich, elegant, and silky texture with a strong malty taste, hints of sweet wood smoke, sandalwood, spice, almond, orange peel, faint ginger, malt, and chocolate. Notes of honey, raspberry, cooked fruits, walnut, and dried apricots.
Finish
Soft with a gentle hint of smoke. Long, malt-driven finish with light smoke and hints of sweetness. Lingering, sweet, and full of honey, winding into more floral territory. Medium length, slightly dry, nutty with gentle smoky notes and a hint of oak.
