Description

A 23-year-old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Craigellachie, bottled from batch number 046501. This official bottling was first released in 2014 as part of a core range makeover and the 'Last Great Malts' series. It is matured in a combination of first-fill ex-Bourbon and first-fill ex-Sherry casks, with some sources indicating a predominant finish in Oloroso sherry casks. The whisky is non-chill filtered and naturally colored, known for its robust and muscular character with a distinctive sulphurous edge from its traditional worm tub condensers. It was awarded 'Best Whisky in Show' at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2015.
