From the Craigellachie distillery comes this eleven-year-old expression. Like other releases of the Darkness limited edition series, it's been treated to a finishing spell in an ex-sherry octave cask. In this case, it's an Oloroso octave. This glorious single malt was distilled at Craigellachie and matured for 11 years, with a finishing period in Oloroso sherry octave casks.

Soft, juicy peaches and apricots, toasted marzipan, vanilla custard, burnt brown sugar, with savoury notes and a gentle waft of sea salt.
Palate
Stone fruits and vanilla cream, candied almonds and roasted walnuts, woody notes of cinnamon sticks and liquorice, rich oily malt, honeycomb, caramel, and a little clove spice.
Finish
Dark, treacly toffee, warming nutmeg, anise, rich and smooth, with herbaceous and lingering forest floor notes.
