Description

One of Glasgow's Premier Independent Whisky Bottling Companies, North Star Spirits was established in 2016 by Iain Croucher. They are dedicated to unearthing hidden gems within the Scotch Whisky realm, meticulously curating casks and spirits. The 'Periodical' series is a range of whiskies from North Star Spirits, created to release bottlings with small amounts of liquid or from part casks, typically bottled at 50% vol in 50cl bottles and often under £50.

Nose
gun oil and papaya, passion fruit and paraffin, shoe polish and mango. With water: Maggi, soy sauce, walnut wine.
Palate
bitter walnuts and almonds. The core remains tropical, with maracuja. Something a notch metallic. With water: awesome, it seems that someone well-intentioned has blended Ardbeg 10 with Bowmore 12 and a glass of Lustau's core oloroso.
Finish
blood oranges running it now. Saltier aftertaste, bouillon.
