Daftmill For Abbey Whisky 12 Year Old, First Fill Heaven Hill Bourbon Cask, Cask #043, 2020, 57.1%

Daftmill Farmhouse was granted a license in 2003 allowing its first distillation to take place in December 2005. As an independent distiller, owner Francis Cuthbert's main aim was to produce a light Lowland whisky, but - as the site is still an active farm - the distillery has a silent season in spring and autumn whilst work happens in the fields. This single cask bottling, Cask Number: 43, was distilled in 2007 and matured for 12 years in a first-fill ex-Heaven Hill bourbon barrel before being bottled in 2020 at 57.1% ABV. It was released exclusively for Abbey Whisky with an outturn of 207 bottles.
