Description

The Dalmore 12 Year Old is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, recognized for its character beyond its age. Launched in late 2008, it replaced a previous 12-year-old expression. This whisky is initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, which impart soft vanilla and honey notes. A proportion of the spirit is then transferred into aged Oloroso Sherry casks, enhancing its rich character.

A warm coffee house aroma with roasting beans, oily nuttiness, malt, cereal, butter, and rich orange notes. Also, fruit and nut dark chocolate with orange zest, and hints of soil, grass, and sea salt.
Palate
Seville marmalade, triple sec, winter spices, fruitcake, zesty cocoa, milk chocolate, and a jam-like thickness. It offers sweetness at the front and spicy/peppery notes at the back, with citrus, vanilla, and sherry throughout.
Finish
Medium to long, with oranges, fleshy fruit, and cinnamon fading away.
