Description
Dalmore distillery has a rich history, including its use as a deep-sea mine production centre by the Royal Navy between 1917 and 1920. After the navy departed, the distillery was brought back online in 1922. The Dalmore 12 Year Old is initially matured for nine years in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, then a proportion is finessed for three years in 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks before being reunited, resulting in a whisky with character beyond its age.
