Description

This 40-year-old Dalmore expression was distilled on March 21, 1966, and bottled in 2006. It is recognized as the oldest release within Dalmore's Rare and Prestigious range. The whisky was matured in American oak and Gonzalez Byass sherry casks. It was released as a limited edition of 1000 bottles and comes with a presentation box and a certificate of authenticity signed by Master Distiller Richard Paterson.

An aromatic symphony of thick chunky orange peel marmalade and Christmas pudding, with citrus, marzipan, spicy cinnamon, hints of raisins, caramel figs, rich polished oak, and tangerine peel.
Palate
Bold and majestic flavors of thick toffee and dark chocolate, orange peel, crushed almonds, grapes, Damsons, Seville oranges, marmalade, blackcurrants, spices like mint, eucalyptus, clove, sandalwood, and cocoa.
Finish
Long, with notes of chocolate, tobacco leaves, liquorice, and a big fruity oaky character with lingering tobacco and oaky dryness.
